In a world of eCards and facebook invites, I am always a sucker for paper. One of my most favorite times of the year is scheduling our fall shoot and picking out our Christmas cards. In the past, I have always gone with a cheap and easy option off Etsy, where I get a digital download and print it at our corporate print shop for like $11. This year however, our pictures were amazing. Like seriously, I couldn't just choose one and I didn't love any of the "collage" layouts on Etsy. I did some research, checking Shutterfly, Snapfish, Simply to Impress, and ultimately decided on Minted.

With that said, I knew I wanted to go with a minimalist look, with maybe one family picture on the front and two on the back. So with those loose ideas in mind, I started my search. These are some ones I loved.

I ultimately decided to go with this one, and I couldn't be happier. At first, I second-guessed myself thinking it may look too busy. However, the more I compared it to the others, I loved it!

Like I said before, I've never bought cards that come printed, I receive a digital download and print them myself, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was blown away at the quality of these cards. The cardstock is thick, premium paper. The envelopes came with free address printing and I splurged on the pre-printed return address, so all I had to do was stuff the envelopes and slap a stamp on there!

It typically takes me 2-3 weeks to get all of the cards addressed between gymnastics and school and work, so it was nice to receive them in the mail and have them stamped and ready to go the next day. I will never not order Christmas cards from here again. It's been such a breeze. The personal designer that created our card sent me two proofs and I chose the one I preferred. They were printed and shipped within four days.

You can create your own cards at Minted. Merry Christmas from us to you!
