Well, we started out Christmas eve with a yummy dinner, which included corn casserole, you're favorite. Then we gave you a bath and let you open up your "Christmas Eve gift" {see Traditions for the contents}, and then you helped Mom and Dad bake cookies for Santa. We read the night before Christmas and then put you down about 8. We had a kitchen to put together and underestimated the time it would take to assemble. oops! So we got everything ready for you and headed to bed to watch Elf.

Christmas morning, I woke up at 7, went ahead and got ready for the day and let you get some extra sleep, even though all I wanted to do was run in there, wake you up and rush you to the living room. About 8, I made Dad get up and I went and got you, he got the camera ready to film your face when you saw your presents. You were so excited when you rounded the corner into the living room. {p.s. Christmas with kids, is way more fun than Christmas as a kid.} The pure joy and excitement they get seeing a new array of toys is so awesome and I am so thankful we are able to give her a good Christmas. I pray she learns and understands the true meaning of Christmas and is forever thankful for the life she has been given through Christ.

Later Christmas day, we headed to my Memaw's and spent Christmas with my parents, aunt and uncle and new cousin Deacon, who was adopted in Ethiopia and brought home in October! {you can follow their story at Middlecamp Moments} We have prayed for him for a long time and are so thankful he is here! McKinlee got building blocks, baby dolls, baby accessories and clothes. Mama got a new sewing machine!! Daddy got a universal gun cleaning kit and we got a GC to Olive Garden for a date night! Later that day we headed to Justin's parents and finished out Christmas day there, where McKinlee got her Melissa&Doug shopping cart to go with her kitchen, play food, toaster, microwave and a Doc McStuffins doctor bag, her favorite. So blessed by all of the people who love us and our sweet baby girl!

Merry Christmas!
